Standard is played with cards that carry a current regulation mark. The present format has been in force since April 10, 2026 and it is the one that counts at Play! Pokémon events.
The mark is printed on the card, bottom left, next to the number. A card with an older mark stays legal only if the same card was also printed with a current mark - that is why Judge from Destined Rivals is playable despite its G mark. Pokémon are different: two Pokémon sharing a name have different attacks, so without H, I or J the card is out.
No card is banned in Standard.
Cards with an errata are played with the corrected text, even if the print shows the old one.
244 older prints across 29 names. They are legal because they share the name and the rules with a card currently in the format - so you can play the nicer old print.
